Martin Rauch, born in 1958 in Schlins, Austria, is a renowned architect who has made a name for himself through his work with rammed earth building projects. After studying at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, he founded the company Lehm Ton Erde Baukunst GmbH in 1999 and has since realized over 100 international projects. Rausch has received numerous awards for his contributions to sustainable architecture, including the Holcim Award, the Reddot Design Award, the New European Bauhaus Prize and the Global Award for Sustainable Architecture. He is an honorary professor at the UNESCO Chair for “Earthen architecture, building cultures and sustainable development” and makes a significant contribution to the promotion of sustainable building cultures.
