Eike Becker, born in Osterholz-Scharmbeck in 1962, studied in Aachen, Paris and Stuttgart, worked in London with Norman Foster and Richard Rogers and is now an award-winning architect and designer. In 1999, together with Helge Schmidt, he founded Eike Becker_Architekten in Berlin, one of the most renowned architecture firms in Germany. They pay particular attention to urban centers and the life there, as well as to public spaces and neighborhoods. From 1999 to 2015, he was Chairman of the Board of the KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin.
