Petra Wörner, born in Karlsruhe in 1957, studied architecture at the University of Stuttgart and at the IIT-Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. After working in Chicago and New York, she joined wörner traxler richter in 1984, initially as a design architect and project manager. Petra Wörner became a partner in 1991, co-owner and partner in 1993 and has been managing partner of wörner traxler richter planungsgesellschaft mbh since 1997. Petra Wörner is also active as a speaker and jury member and was a member and chairwoman of the design advisory board of the city of Linz from 2015 to 2017 and, in accordance with the statutes, was an elected member of the BDA representative on the urban planning advisory board of the city of Frankfurt am Main from 2017 to 2021. As an expert with a focus on the planning and construction of clinics, Petra Wörner curates the Hessian Chamber of Architects’ event ‘New Developments in Healthcare Construction’, which has been successfully established for years.
