Sadie Morgan is a founding director of dRMM and industry leader. Over her 25-year career she has played a key role in the advocacy of exemplary design and architecture, through her professional practice and advisory roles. In her role as a design champion Sadie is involved in a number of advisory roles including chairing the Independent Design Panel for High Speed Two, reporting directly to the Secretary of State and being one of ten commissioners for the National Infrastructure Commission (NIC) led by Chief Executive Phil Graham.

Sadie became the youngest president of the Architectural Association in 2013, was short-listed for the AJ Woman Architect of the Year award in 2014 and most recently won the inaugural ‘Female Architectural Leader of the Year’ at the BD Architect of the Year awards. www.drmm.co.uk

About the speaker

Lorcan O’Herlihy, FAIA. Since founding his firm Lorcan O’Herlihy Architects [LOHA] in 1994, O’Herlihy has built more than 100 projects across three continents, and has been published in more than 20 countries. His commitment to design excellence in cultural, educational, and residential projects earned him over 100 national and international design awards, including the AIA California Distinguished Practice Award, the AIA Los Angeles Gold Medal, and in 2018 was named the #1 Design Firm in the US by Architect Magazine.
Lorcan’s professional practice has run in parallel to his academic pursuits, enriching and heightening both. He received a Master of Arts in History and Critical Thinking from the Architectural Association in London, writing a dissertation on social engagement and generative urban strategies. He has taught and lectured extensively over the last decade, including at the Architectural Association in London, Southern California Institute of Architecture [SCI-Arc], Cranbrook Academy of Art, Columbia University, Carnegie Mellon University, Pratt Institute, and the National Building Museum in Washington D.C. He is currently a Professor at the University of Southern California, and serves on the Board of Directors of Storefront for Art and Architecture. www.loharchitects.com
