FRANÇOIS VALENTINY

About Speaker

François Valentiny was born in 1953 in Remerschen, Luxembourg. After studying in Vienna in 1980, he founded an architectural office with Hubert Hermann. After their rapid start, they traveled a long path to arrive at their current understanding of architecture. A lengthy phase of reflection put an end to quick reactions to the zeitgeist. François Valentiny has left his marks worldwide: the Mozarteum in Trancoso, Brazil, the Peace Center in Verdun, and the spectacular 2010 Expo Pavilion in Shanghai, among others.

Valentiny stands for bold, almost futuristic designs with character. For him, architecture is a wonderful way to say goodbye to your own problems and to take care of the problems of other people. He teaches architecture from Trier via Vienna to Shanghai and has been named one of the world’s top one hundred architects in Korea in 2016 by his colleagues. He is the editor of a magazine and sits on architectural advisory boards.

Virtual Feedback Cards for the Speaker

Dear viewer, Maybe you have never attended on of our events, but maybe you know this already. Your work is required! As the speakers share many of their personal experiences with us, we would like to present them a special gift, now in a virtual way.

Please write down on the following text box what you enjoyed most about the talk. Our goal is to present each speaker with personal feedback cards, as we do at our events. At our events, we collect the cards right before we start with the round table and hand them over in a box at the end of the event.

Please participate! Our speakers love it and we want to continue with this tradition.

Here, we will collect the messages and forward them via e.mail to our speaker:
