Home Edition 2020

Let’s keep the cultural life alive!  As a consequence of Covid-19, our social and cultural life has been reduced to a minimum and we all need to adapt to this unprecedented situation. Since we have a commitment with you, with the architecture scene, we came up with this new idea that is meant to lift your spirits and provide you with some genuine inspiration – at your home. Therefore, from Monday, March 23rd, onwards, each day at 7 p.m. we will be sharing one of the unique talks from the previous 35 events that we have held during the last 5 years.

TALK #54: Anna Popelka

About Anna Popelka

Anna Popelka was born in Graz in 1961. After studying architecture at TU Graz she founded the office partnership PPAG together with Georg Paduschka in 1995 which has been operating as PPAG architects ztgmbh since 2006. Even tough PPAG intentionally works in the entire architecture field, in the last years residential and educational construction have become their main emphasizes. Their projects are being build mainly in Vienna but also in Berlin and Norway. The office is committed to research and progress in architecture and stands for the highest quality in planning and realisation of architectural solutions, as well as full support from the initial concept up to completion. Cultural and social relevance is both the goal and content of their architectural self-understanding. The Vienna-based architecture studio has been working to stimulate the further development of our society through innovative living environments. Anna Popelka is teaching at Universities in Vienna and Graz. www.ppag.at

AnA Berlin 04 – Architects, not Architecture took place in Berlin for the fourth time at November 13, 2019. It was a pleasure to welcome three outstanding architects to the stage of the ATZE Theater and learn about their inspirations and mindsets. Amandus Samsøe Sattler, Reiulf Ramstad and Anna Popelka.

This talk is presented with the support of Bette.
During her childhood, Anna Popelka spent most of her time playing in the woods. She believes this formed her perception of space and the way she is able to experience places. With a broad range of colours and dimensions, Bette creates a carefully designed environment which makes it possible for people to experience themselves in entirely new ways.

Eye-catching contrast or effect colours present individual bathroom elements as coloured eye-catchers which shimmer in an exciting way depending on the light incidence. They focus on current bathroom interiors, materials, colours, shapes and finishes. However, colour in the bathroom does not automatically mean brightly coloured. Timeless, discreet shades and pastel colours are in fashion. More than 40 percent of Bette customers now choose coloured floor-level shower surfaces made from glazed titanium steel. Check out their different design versions: Link.

Virtual Feedback Cards for the Speaker

Dear viewer,
Maybe you have never attended our events, but perhaps know this already. Your effort is required! As the speakers share many of their personal experiences with us, we would like to present them a special gift, now digitally.

Please write into the text box below what you enjoyed most about the talk. Our goal is to present each speaker with personal feedback cards, as we do at our events. At our events, we collect the cards right before we start with the round-table-discussion and hand them over in a box at the end of the event.

Please participate! Our speakers love it and we want to continue with this tradition.

Here, we will collect the messages and forward them via e.mail to our speaker:
