Home Edition 2020

Let’s keep the cultural life alive!  As a consequence of Covid-19, our social and cultural life has been reduced to a minimum and we all need to adapt to this unprecedented situation. Since we have a commitment with you, with the architecture scene, we came up with this new idea that is meant to lift your spirits and provide you with some genuine inspiration – at your home. Therefore, from Monday, March 23rd, onwards, each day at 7 p.m. we will be sharing one of the unique talks from the previous 35 events that we have held during the last 5 years.

TALK #22: Michael Schumacher
(Talk in German)

About Michael Schumacher

Michael Schumacher was born in Krefeld in 1957. He studied architecture from 1978 to 1985 at the University of Kaiserslautern, where he also graduated. From 1986 to 1988 he completed his post-graduate studies at the Städelschule in Frankfurt with Peter Cook. In the meantime he worked as a freelancer in the Sir Norman Foster office in London. In 1988, together with Till Schneider, he founded the office schneider + schumacher which today has branches in Frankfurt, Vienna, Austria and Tianjin, China.

In 2000 Michael Schumacher was a visiting professor at the Städelschule in Frankfurt and from 2004 to 2009 head of state at the BDA Hessen. Since 2007 he has been a professor for design and construction at the Faculty of Architecture and Landscape at Leibniz University in Hanover. Many schneider + schumacher projects were honored with numerous prizes.

AnA Frankfurt 01 – On September 18, 2018, we held our first event in Frankfurt at the German National Library with the participation of Michael Schumacher, Claudia Meixner and Jürgen Engel, founders of three well-known German architecture offices based in this city.

This talk is presented with the support of Aritco.
“I’m very proud to work with products that make life easier for people and make the world more available to them.” says Martin Knoke from Aritco Germany. The fact that their home lifts are quick and easy to install, often with minimal alterations to the building, makes the choice even easier. Aritco lifts not only enhance home comfort but also add extra value – both financially and in terms of looks.

Aritco is a world-leading Swedish supplier of lift solutions for private homes, thanks to their unique combination of design and comfort. Scandinavia has a long tradition of craftsmanship and design awareness. This is a legacy that they continue and refine in their home lifts, where innovation and a beautiful appearance are vital factors.

3 models, hundreds of options. Artico manufactures three different lifts for the home. The Aritco 4000, the Aritco 6000 and the Aritco HomeLift. Find out what model and what size suits your needs on Aritco Home Lifts.

Virtual Feedback Cards for the Speaker

Dear viewer,
Maybe you have never attended our events, but perhaps know this already. Your effort is required! As the speakers share many of their personal experiences with us, we would like to present them a special gift, now digitally.

Please write into the text box below what you enjoyed most about the talk. Our goal is to present each speaker with personal feedback cards, as we do at our events. At our events, we collect the cards right before we start with the round-table-discussion and hand them over in a box at the end of the event.

Please participate! Our speakers love it and we want to continue with this tradition.

Here, we will collect the messages and forward them via e.mail to our speaker:
