Home Edition 2020

Let’s keep the cultural life alive!
As a consequence of Covid-19, our social and cultural life has been reduced to a minimum and we all need to adapt to this unprecedented situation. Since we have a commitment with you, with the architecture scene, we came up with this new idea that is meant to lift your spirits and provide you with some genuine inspiration – at your home. We strongly believe that we all need positive input in this extraordinary situation.

Therefore, from Monday, March 23rd, onwards, each day at 7 p.m. we will be sharing one of the unique talks from the previous 35 events that we have held during the last 5 years. Each day, we will add a new video alternating daily between talks in German and English. Stay tuned!

You can also send us a short mail if you want to receive a weekly notification.

TALK #11: Kim Herforth Nielsen

About Kim Herforth Nielsen

Kim Herforth Nielsen graduated from the Aarhus School of Architecture in 1981. Together with Lars Frank Nielsen and Hans Peter Svendler Nielsen he founded 3XN in Aarhus in 1986.

Today 3XN runs offices in Copenhagen, Stockholm, New York and Sydney and has been involved in all the practice’s major projects, including The Blue Planet, Kubus in Berlin, Museum of Liverpool, Ørestad College, Muziekgebouw Concert Hall in Amsterdam, the Danish Embassy in Berlin and the Architects’ House in Copenhagen.

Beside his work in the office he is often called upon as a jury member in international architectural competitions, and as lecturer at art academies and universities around the world. He is a Knight of Dannebrog and has received Denmark’s highest architectural honor, the C.F. Hansen Medaille.

AnA Copenhagen 01 – In October 11, 2018, Kim Herforth Nielson, Tatiana Bilbao and Louis Becker were our first three speakers in Denmark. The event was held at the wonderful Queen’s Hall in the Royal Library in Copenhagen.

This talk is presented with the support of BoConcept.

In his talk, Kim talks about his great curiosity and passion for science and films. With the current situation we are forced to adjust our home and make room for both hobby supplies and work space. Everyone’s storage needs are different, but the Copenhagen by BoConcept can take care of them all.

Copenhagen, designed by Morten Georgsen, is an elegant, exclusive and multi-functional wall system with refined details and design features.

With this system it is possible to create everything from a plain shelving system to an extraordinary and individualised combination using inserts, different fronts and materials. Copenhagen also offers a matching table which enables you to create a beautiful home office. Show what you want, hide what you need! You can BoConcept’s brand book here: Link.

Virtual Feedback Cards for the Speaker

Dear viewer,
Maybe you have never attended our events, but perhaps know this already. Your effort is required! As the speakers share many of their personal experiences with us, we would like to present them a special gift, now digitally.

Please write into the text box below what you enjoyed most about the talk. Our goal is to present each speaker with personal feedback cards, as we do at our events. At our events, we collect the cards right before we start with the round-table-discussion and hand them over in a box at the end of the event.

Please participate! Our speakers love it and we want to continue with this tradition.

Here, we will collect the messages and forward them via e.mail to our speaker:
