Home Edition 2020

Let’s keep the cultural life alive!  As a consequence of Covid-19, our social and cultural life has been reduced to a minimum and we all need to adapt to this unprecedented situation. Since we have a commitment with you, with the architecture scene, we came up with this new idea that is meant to lift your spirits and provide you with some genuine inspiration – at your home. Therefore, from Monday, March 23rd, onwards, each day at 7 p.m. we will be sharing one of the unique talks from the previous 35 events that we have held during the last 5 years.

TALK #38: François Valentiny
This talk (held in German) is kindly presented by swissFineLine.

About François Valentiny

François Valentiny was born in 1953 in Remerschen, Luxembourg. After studying in Vienna in 1980, he founded an architectural office with Hubert Hermann. After their rapid start they travelled a long path to arrive at their current understanding of architecture. A lengthy phase of reflection, put an end to quick reactions to the zeitgeist. François Valentiny has left his marks worldwide: the Mozarteum in Trancoso, Brazil, the Peace Center in Verdun, and the spectacular 2010 Expo Pavilion in Shanghai, among others. Valentiny stands for bold, almost futuristic designs with character. For him, architecture is a wonderful way to say goodbye to your own problems and to take care of the problems of other people. He teaches architecture from Trier via Vienna to Shanghai and has been named one of the world’s top one hundred architects in Korea in 2016 by his colleagues. He is editor of a magazine and sits in architectural advisory boards. www.valentinyarchitects.com

AnA Berlin 03 – On November 29th, exactly one year after the second edition in Berlin, Architects, not Architecture invited to the Grand Hall of the Atze Music Theater again. The exciting year 2018 was ended by AnA with the established architects François Valentiny, Volkwin Marg and Anupama Kundoo.

This talk is presented with the support of swissFineLine.
n his talk, François Valentiny speaks about his personal development and shares what he loves about his profession and where he gets his inspiration from. He also speaks about landscapes and nature. He designs his extraordinary architecture in context with its surroundings.

swissFineLine is committed to making the beauty of the landscape that surrounds a building as visible as possible while making everything that is technically required for this purpose disappear. swissFineLine has been fulfilling the desire for brighter, more open architecture and unlimited transparency since the beginning of the modern age. The family company’s many years of experience in the production of large glass elements is decisive, because details and processing quality are crucially important here. Virtual Feedback Cards for the Speaker

Dear viewer,
Maybe you have never attended our events, but perhaps know this already. Your effort is required! As the speakers share many of their personal experiences with us, we would like to present them a special gift, now digitally.

Please write into the text box below what you enjoyed most about the talk. Our goal is to present each speaker with personal feedback cards, as we do at our events. At our events, we collect the cards right before we start with the round-table-discussion and hand them over in a box at the end of the event.

Please participate! Our speakers love it and we want to continue with this tradition.

Here, we will collect the messages and forward them via e.mail to our speaker:
