Home Edition 2020

Let’s keep the cultural life alive!  As a consequence of Covid-19, our social and cultural life has been reduced to a minimum and we all need to adapt to this unprecedented situation. Since we have a commitment with you, with the architecture scene, we came up with this new idea that is meant to lift your spirits and provide you with some genuine inspiration – at your home. Therefore, from Monday, March 23rd, onwards, each day at 7 p.m. we will be sharing one of the unique talks from the previous 35 events that we have held during the last 5 years.

TALK #40: Kilian Kada
This talk (held in German) is kindly presented by
swissFineLine

About Kilian Kada

Kilian Kada was born in Leibnitz, Austria, in 1975. He studied Architecture at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, in the master class Prix and at Columbia University in New York. In 2004 he completed his degree with distinction. He took over the competition department at kadawittfeldarchitektur in 2009 – the architectural office which was co-founded by his father in 1999. Then in 2011 Kada became partner of the shared office and four years later member of the management board. The office now includes 150 employees and stands for the combination of architecture, interior architecture and design at the interface to urban planning and urban projects. Projects like the main railway station in Salzburg/AT, the headquarters of the AachenMünchener insurance company in Aachen/DE, the Adidas Laces building in Herzogenaurach/DE and the Grimmwelt Museum in Kassel/DE are representative of our numerous projects in Germany and abroad.

AnA Düsseldorf 04 – On October 30, 2018, AnA made a detour to NRW for the fourth time. And again “not a word about the projects” for the architects Kilian Kada, Petra Dörner and Christoph Felger.

This talk is presented by swissFineLine.
Just as our speakers do in their talks, swissFineLine focuses on absolute transparency. This is why the architectural office of Dirk Henning Braun used their products for this villa near Düsseldorf, where an essential aspect of architectural design is the transparency of the house. A single-family house which does not comply with the standard.

The filigree sliding windows with their highly insulating aluminum edging that fits seamlessly into walls, floors and ceilings connect the exterior with the interior on the ground floor. The architects used the electrically operated panoramic windows as a substitute for walls and thus created a continuous space. This futuristic home is the architectural proof that with the right products there is unlimited design freedom and maximum comfort. swissFineLine offers over-size windows and, thanks to their skilled team’s creativity, customized versions of their products to help you make the impossible possible. Virtual Feedback Cards for the Speaker

Dear viewer,
Maybe you have never attended our events, but perhaps know this already. Your effort is required! As the speakers share many of their personal experiences with us, we would like to present them a special gift, now digitally.

Please write into the text box below what you enjoyed most about the talk. Our goal is to present each speaker with personal feedback cards, as we do at our events. At our events, we collect the cards right before we start with the round-table-discussion and hand them over in a box at the end of the event.

Please participate! Our speakers love it and we want to continue with this tradition.

Here, we will collect the messages and forward them via e.mail to our speaker:
