Home Edition 2020

Let’s keep the cultural life alive!  As a consequence of Covid-19, our social and cultural life has been reduced to a minimum and we all need to adapt to this unprecedented situation. Since we have a commitment with you, with the architecture scene, we came up with this new idea that is meant to lift your spirits and provide you with some genuine inspiration – at your home. Therefore, from Monday, March 23rd, onwards, each day at 7 p.m. we will be sharing one of the unique talks from the previous 35 events that we have held during the last 5 years.

TALK #18: Fritz Auer
(This talk was held in German)

About Fritz Auer

Fritz Auer, born 1933 in Tübingen, studied at the TH Stuttgart as well as at Cranbrook Academy of Arts in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, USA. He graduated in 1962 in Stuttgart. He worked for Behnisch und Lambart in Stuttgart until 1965 when he became a partner of Behnisch & Partner. In 1980 Auer and Weber left the partnership to found their own practice.

He was professor of Building Construction and Design at the FH Munich from 1985 to 1992 and professor of Design at the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design from 1993 to 2001. He has been a member of the Academy of the Arts in Berlin since 1993. His architecture draws its respective form from the intense dialog regarding the construction task as well as the conditions and possibilities of the site upon which it will be created. The results are architectural concepts which range from the sculptural formed volumes to the structurally defined landscape.

AnA Stuttgart 02 – We were glad to be back in Stuttgart for our second event on June 6, 2018. We invited three impressive architects to the T2 Saal in the Theaterhaus. Fritz Auer,  Jorúnn Ragnarsdóttir and Tobias Wasserfaller shared their inspiring stories.

This talk is presented with the support of the German Velux Competition 2020.

Virtual Feedback Cards for the Speaker

Dear viewer,
Maybe you have never attended our events, but perhaps know this already. Your effort is required! As the speakers share many of their personal experiences with us, we would like to present them a special gift, now digitally.

Please write into the text box below what you enjoyed most about the talk. Our goal is to present each speaker with personal feedback cards, as we do at our events. At our events, we collect the cards right before we start with the round-table-discussion and hand them over in a box at the end of the event.

Please participate! Our speakers love it and we want to continue with this tradition.

Here, we will collect the messages and forward them via e.mail to our speaker:
