About Dörte Gatermann
Dörte Gatermann was born in Hamburg in 1956 and completed her architectural studies at the Technical University of Braunschweig and the RWTH Aachen University. In 1984 she founded the architects Gatermann + Schossig in Cologne together with her later husband Elmar Schossig (1950-2009), which she leads today together with her longtime project manager and office partner Sven Gaeßler. The realization of the reconstruction of the historic Bayenturm by Dörte Gatermann to the FrauenMediaTurm was one of the first projects for the restructuring of Cologne’s Rheinauhafen. This became the archive and documentation center on current and historical women’s issues, a collaboration with Alice Schwarzer. Their most famous design is the KölnTriangle skyscraper. Her projects include the Ministry of Education of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Roman Museum in the Archaeological Park Xanten.
AnA Düsseldorf 02 – Architects, not Architecture returned to Dusseldorf in 2017 after an wonderful first event the year before. We welcomed three well-known architects from the region of North Rhine-Westphalia to the stage of the Tanzhaus NRW in Düsseldorf: Eckhard Gerber, Anne-Julchen Bernhardt and Dörte Gatermann.
Virtual Feedback Cards for the Speaker
Maybe you have never attended our events, but perhaps know this already. Your effort is required! As the speakers share many of their personal experiences with us, we would like to present them a special gift, now digitally.
Please write into the text box below what you enjoyed most about the talk. Our goal is to present each speaker with personal feedback cards, as we do at our events. At our events, we collect the cards right before we start with the round-table-discussion and hand them over in a box at the end of the event.
Please participate! Our speakers love it and we want to continue with this tradition.
Here, we will collect the messages and forward them via e.mail to our speaker:
