Home Edition 2020
Let’s keep the cultural life alive! As a consequence of Covid-19, our social and cultural life has been reduced to a minimum and we all need to adapt to this unprecedented situation. Since we have a commitment with you, with the architecture scene, we came up with this new idea that is meant to lift your spirits and provide you with some genuine inspiration – at your home. Therefore, from Monday, March 23rd, onwards, each day at 7 p.m. we will be sharing one of the unique talks from the previous 35 events that we have held during the last 5 years.
TALK #51: Will Alsop
About Will Alsop
We were very sorry to learn about the passing of the exceptional architect Will Alsop on May 12, 2018. We feel truly honored and grateful for the experience to have had him speak on one of our events. He will be missed greatly.
The late Prof. Will Alsop was a prominent architect, artist and educator who established aLL Design in 2011. His work encompassed all sectors of architecture including urban and landscape design and planning. His studio practice incorporated fine art painting, writing and modelmaking. Alsop’s core values were innovation, expression and originality with an emphasis on enjoyment. He worked on a vast array of projects and in all scales; from a bandstand in London to the French Government HQ in Marseille ‘Le Grand Bleu’ via masterplanning, urban design, landscape architecture, interior and product design. He hosted numerous international workshops and lectures. www.all.design.uk
AnA Düsseldorf 03 – Architects, not Architecture’s third event in Dusseldorf was held on November 9th, 2017. Three well-known architects shared their inspiring stories with the audience in the Tanzhaus NRW. Will Alsop, Karl-Heinz Petzinka and Christa Reicher.
This talk is presented with the support of Bette.
In his talk, Will Alsop speaks about important people and places that have been influencing the way he creates architecture. With a broad range of colours and dimensions, Bette creates a carefully designed environment which makes it possible for people to experience themselves in entirely new ways.
Eye-catching contrast or effect colours present individual bathroom elements as coloured eye-catchers which shimmer in an exciting way depending on the light incidence. They focus on current bathroom interiors, materials, colours, shapes and finishes. However, colour in the bathroom does not automatically mean brightly coloured. Timeless, discreet shades and pastel colours are in fashion. More than 40 percent of Bette customers now choose coloured floor-level shower surfaces made from glazed titanium steel. Virtual Feedback Cards for the Speaker
Maybe you have never attended our events, but perhaps know this already. Your effort is required! As the speakers share many of their personal experiences with us, we would like to present them a special gift, now digitally.
Please write into the text box below what you enjoyed most about the talk. Our goal is to present each speaker with personal feedback cards, as we do at our events. At our events, we collect the cards right before we start with the round-table-discussion and hand them over in a box at the end of the event.
Please participate! Our speakers love it and we want to continue with this tradition.
Here, we will collect the messages and forward them via e.mail to our speaker:
